Last updated: 20 July 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Slinic collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website and services, and sets out your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Slinic is a trading name of Read & Simonstone Pharmacy Ltd (company no. 06943532), trading as Brierfield Late Night Pharmacy (GPhC Reg No. 1033729), 10-12 Colne Road, Brierfield, BB9 5PH. Slinic is an online medical weight loss clinic operating in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can contact us about privacy matters at hello@slinic.co.uk or on 01282 943486.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, date of birth, contact details, delivery address, payment details and the answers you give during your clinical assessment. We also collect health information relevant to your treatment, such as your medical history, current medicines, weight, height and BMI. We automatically collect limited technical data when you use our website, such as your device type, browser and pages visited.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to assess your suitability for treatment, to allow our prescribers and pharmacy to provide clinical care, to process and deliver your orders, to provide ongoing clinical reviews and support, to take payment, to respond to your enquiries, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Our lawful bases include the performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running our clinic, and your consent where required.
4. Health (special category) data
Information about your health is “special category” data and is given additional protection under data protection law. We process this data for the provision of health care and treatment by, or under the responsibility of, a healthcare professional who is subject to a duty of confidentiality, and to protect your vital interests where necessary.
5. Sharing your information
We share your information only where necessary — for example with our registered prescribers and dispensing pharmacy, our secure payment provider, and the delivery couriers who bring your treatment to you. We may also share information where we are required to do so by law or by our regulators. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal and clinical records for as long as necessary to provide your care and to meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including the retention periods that apply to medical and pharmacy records. When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and staff training. Payments are handled through a PCI-DSS compliant provider and we do not store full card details on our systems.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request erasure or restriction of processing in certain circumstances, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@slinic.co.uk.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. For full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookies Policy.
10. International transfers
Where any of our service providers process personal data outside the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place so that your information continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.
11. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
