2. Eligibility to Use Our Services

You must meet the eligibility requirements for the particular healthcare service or treatment you are requesting.

You must provide complete, accurate and truthful information during consultations and when creating or updating your account.

You must not:

  • Provide false or misleading medical information
  • Provide another person’s information as your own
  • Use another person’s prescription or treatment
  • Attempt to obtain treatment where you know you do not meet the relevant clinical criteria
  • Use our website or services for any unlawful purpose

We may request additional information, photographs, identification, medical records, evidence of previous treatment or a video consultation where this is necessary for safe prescribing or verification.

3. Clinical Services

Submitting a consultation or placing an order does not guarantee that treatment will be prescribed or supplied.

All treatment requests are subject to clinical assessment.

A prescriber may:

  • Approve treatment
  • Request further information
  • Request a video or telephone consultation
  • Recommend an alternative treatment
  • Decline to prescribe
  • Refer you to your GP or another healthcare professional

Clinical decisions are made according to professional judgement and patient safety.

We will not prescribe or supply treatment where the clinician considers that doing so would be unsafe or inappropriate.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your health.

This includes information about:

  • Medical conditions
  • Current and previous medicines
  • Allergies
  • Previous treatments
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant
  • Side effects or adverse reactions
  • Changes to your health or medicines during treatment

You must tell us promptly if information you previously provided changes.

Failure to provide accurate or complete information may affect our ability to provide safe treatment.

5. Prescriptions and Supply of Medicines

Medicines are supplied only where a suitably authorised prescriber has determined that treatment is clinically appropriate.

Where a prescription is issued, medicines supplied through the Slinic service are dispensed by:

Brierfield Late Night Pharmacy
10–12 Colne Road
Brierfield
Nelson
BB9 5PH
GPhC premises registration: 1033729

A completed payment does not override the need for clinical approval.

Where treatment is declined before supply, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Orders and Payment

When you place an order, you are requesting a healthcare service and, where clinically appropriate, the supply of treatment.

Payment is normally taken when you submit your order.

An order is not finally accepted until any required clinical assessment has been completed and the treatment has been approved for supply.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where:

  • Treatment is not clinically appropriate
  • Information provided is incomplete or cannot be verified
  • There is a patient-safety concern
  • Payment has not been authorised
  • Fraud or misuse is suspected
  • A medicine is unavailable
  • We are unable lawfully or safely to provide the service

Prices may change from time to time. The price shown at checkout when you place your order will normally apply to that order.

7. Delivery

Please refer to our Delivery Policy for current information about delivery services, dispatch arrangements and charges.

Delivery estimates are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Once treatment has been dispatched, delivery may be carried out by a third-party courier.

We remain responsible for dealing appropriately with concerns about the supply of your medicine, but we cannot guarantee that a courier will never experience delays outside our reasonable control.

You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and ensuring that arrangements are in place to receive your parcel.

8. Medicines Requiring Temperature-Controlled Delivery

Some medicines may be transported using temperature-controlled or insulated packaging.

You should follow any storage instructions supplied with your medicine.

If you believe a medicine has been damaged, exposed to inappropriate conditions, or is otherwise unsuitable for use, contact us before using it.

9. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Medicines are subject to specific legal and safety restrictions.

Once a medicine has been dispensed or supplied, it may not normally be possible to return it for resale or obtain a refund simply because you no longer want it.

This does not affect your rights where:

  • The wrong medicine has been supplied
  • The item is damaged or defective
  • There has been an error in dispensing
  • You otherwise have a legal entitlement to a remedy

Please refer to our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy for further information.

10. Repeat Treatment

Repeat treatment is not automatic.

Each repeat request may be subject to clinical review.

We may ask for updated information including:

  • Current weight
  • Treatment response
  • Side effects
  • Current medicines
  • Changes to your medical history
  • Evidence of previous supply
  • Further verification where necessary

We may decline, change, pause or stop treatment where clinically appropriate.

11. Medical Emergencies

Slinic is not an emergency medical service.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or attend the nearest appropriate emergency service.

For urgent medical advice that is not an emergency, contact NHS 111 or an appropriate healthcare professional.

12. Information on Our Website

We take reasonable care to ensure that information on our website is accurate and kept up to date.

However, website information is provided for general information and should not replace individual medical advice.

Healthcare information may change as new evidence, regulatory guidance or product information becomes available.

Where information on the website differs from advice specifically provided to you by one of your treating healthcare professionals, you should seek clarification from the clinical team.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website, branding, written material, graphics, designs and other content made available through Slinic are owned by or licensed to Read & Simonstone Pharmacy Ltd.

Where relevant, those providers may also have their own terms and privacy policies.

Our use of personal data in connection with such services is explained in our Privacy Policy.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by:

  • Information supplied by you being inaccurate or incomplete
  • Failure to follow clinical or medicine-use instructions
  • Events outside our reasonable control
  • Third-party systems or services where we have taken reasonable steps to select and manage those providers

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Where appropriate, you may also have the right to raise concerns with the relevant professional or regulatory body.

18. Suspension or Termination of Services

We may suspend or terminate access to our services where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • False or misleading information has been provided
  • There is suspected fraud or misuse
  • There are safety concerns
  • A user behaves abusively or threateningly towards staff
  • Continued provision of the service would breach legal, regulatory or professional requirements

Where clinically appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that any necessary continuity-of-care information is provided.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on our website and the “Last updated” date will be amended.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you already have under applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from any mandatory legal protections applicable in the part of the UK where you live.
